Trading fees
Rates are charged on the value of the executed order. The maker rate applies to an order that adds liquidity to the book, the taker rate to an order that takes it.
| Market | Maker | Taker |
|---|---|---|
| Spot | 0.100% | 0.100% |
| Futures | 0.020% | 0.060% |
The rate that applies to a specific pair is shown on that pair's market page before you confirm an order, and is the rate we apply.

1. How trading fees work
A trading fee is charged on the value of every executed order. An order that adds liquidity to the order book pays the maker rate; an order that takes liquidity out of the book pays the taker rate. The fee is taken from the balance you receive from the trade, so the confirmation shows you the amount and the rate that was applied.
Futures positions also pay or receive a funding payment between long and short positions, typically every eight hours. Funding is not a BitHz fee: it is set by the venue and paid between traders.
2. Volume tiers and discounts
The standard rates above apply until your 30-day trading volume reaches the threshold for the next tier. Higher tiers reduce both the maker and the taker rate, and are shown in your account together with the volume that is counted towards them.
Orders placed through the API use the rate published for API trading, which is shown in the same place as your other tiers.
3. Deposits and withdrawals
Deposits into your account are free. Withdrawals cost the network fee that the blockchain charges to move the asset, and that fee is shown to you with the amount you will receive before you confirm. The network fee changes with congestion on the chain and goes to the network, not to BitHz.
Minimum withdrawal amounts exist on every network, so that the amount left after the network fee is worth sending. They are shown in the withdrawal form.
4. Other charges
Converting one asset into another inside the platform is charged through the rate you are quoted rather than as a separate line, and the rate is shown before you confirm. Moving assets between BitHz accounts is free. We do not charge an account maintenance fee, and we do not charge for holding a balance.
Where a charge is not listed here, we do not apply it without telling you first.
5. Changes to fees
We may change the fee schedule when the venue's costs, the network's costs or the market change. Where a change increases a fee you pay, we publish it on this page and tell you in the platform or by email before it takes effect, unless the change has to be made immediately to follow the law or the venue's rules.
6. Questions about fees
If a fee on your account does not match this page, or you want to ask about a volume tier or a rebate, write to [support email] with the order or transaction reference and we will check it.
